Hester V. Washington

Hester V. (Pinson) Washington, age 88, born September 20, 1932 to the late Edroe and Ethel (Embrey) Pinson, transitioned May 5, 2021. She attended Dunbar High School, Class of 1950.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Washington; daughter, Wendy L. Pinson; sisters, Betty Smith and Mary P. Key; brother, Edroe Pinson Jr.; grandson, Dante’ Pinson Sr.; great grandchildren, Dante’ Jr. and Deanna Pinson.

Survived by sister, Delores (Kenneth) Marcellus; grandchildren, Brian (Okareta) Pinson and Danielle Pinson; six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends, Mike and Christy Manchester.

Walk-through visitation 9-11 am Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Private Service. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
