Helen Weaver was born July 11, 1928 in Vicco, Kentucky to Walker and Ollie Neal (Burnett).
Helen graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1945. She married her cherished husband, John, on April 3, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. Out of this loving union were born three children: Renne, John Jr., and Darcel.
Helen began her professional career as a Pattern Maker for clothing for the McCalls Magazine and Design Company. Her skills moved to Seamstress, designing draperies for an interior decorator. There was nothing from fabric she could not design and sew into a beautiful piece.
Helen symbolized her life in dedication to our God Jehovah by water baptism on May 7, 1950. She served as an auxiliary pioneer, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom, for many years in the Dayton area.
It can be truly said that Helen exemplified the words that the apostle Paul spoke at 2 Timothy 4:7; “I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish, I have observed the faith”.
She always urged her family and the congregation to take sides with Jehovah and make Him your delight!
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She often signed notes and letters to her family with the inscription, “Your Loving Momma”. Most important, she truly loved Jehovah God with her whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. We will always remember Helen’s loving and compassionate spirit. We will miss her until our Father Jehovah awakens her in the New World to come, here on earth.
Helen was preceded in death by parents, Walker and Ollie Neal (Burnett); brother, James Neal; sister, Octavia Combs.
She leaves to cherish in memory her children, Renne, John Jr. (Veta), Darcel; grandchildren, Jason, Tiffany, Kenya (Gary), John III (Lisa); great grandchildren, Jordan, Jalynn, Jaida, Savannah, Chase Alexander, Lauren, Carsyn, Eden, and Colton.
