Harry James McBride Sr. was born December 19, 1938 in Clanton Alabama to Rose Ester (Cooper) McBride and James McBride.
Harry Sr. passed peacefully in Dayton Ohio on February 16, 2026 surrounded by family.
Harry was a man of few words, but his love for family was strong and he was an amazing provider. Harry Sr. was a lifetime truck driver who logged many hours on the road- most recently with US Express, where he retired after his last 14 years on the road.
Predeceased by: Carolyn McBride, Myrtle Williams, Amanda Allen, Parthenia Montgomery, Belinda McBride, Victor (Daryl) McBride, David McBride, James McBride and Ricky Cooper.
Harry leaves to mourn his wife Christine McBride and children of that union - Harry J. McBride, Kelvin C. McBride and Kena M. McBride, as well as an extensive host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Also left to mourn Harry Sr. are his sisters, Brenda (Abram) Dixon, Beverly Kinney, Pamela (Adlai) Hayes, Alfreda Brewster, Arnetta Craig and brothers, Jimmy (Stephanie) McBride, Yusaf Jalil, Anthony McBride, Daniel McBride, Tyrone McBride.
Funeral Service 12 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 10 am- 12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am- 12 pm. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery.
