Gloria Jean Dennis

Gloria Jean Dennis, age 80, of Dayton, Ohio, departed this life Friday, December 13, 2024. She graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School class of 1962. Gloria retired from Dayton VA Medical Center after 33 years of service as a registered nurse.

Her passion included volunteering for St. Vincent DePaul, traveling, line dancing and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Fannie L. Luckie; brother, Eddie R. Luckie; niece, Michelle Luckie.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Maree A. Dennis of N. Charleston, SC and Letitia R. Dennis of Chicago, IL; niece, Theresa Smith of Dayton, OH;  nephews, Kenneth (Dee) Smith of Dallas, TX, Aaron (Rhonda) Luckie of Las Vegas, NV; remarkable granddaughter, Kharaan Abraham; great granddaughter, Tatum Horton-Tucker; father of daughters, Leon P. Dennis; dear friends, Laura Lewis, Barbara Towns, Lucretia "Cee Cee" Ivory, Pat Wiley, Robert Odon, James Wiley, George Johnson, Alfred Hairston, Marie Green, Karen Johnson.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday, December 21, 2024 at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, 519 Liscum Drive, Dayton, OH. Visitation 9 am- 10 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
