Gerald Robert Tucker Sr.

Gerald R. Tucker, age 80, of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Gerald attended Jefferson Twp school and graduated in class of '63. He loved his sports with basketball being his passion. He earned a scholarship to Oklahoma Baptist University and join his older brother Al to play and win numerous championships. Gerald served his country in the Army and was active in the Vietnam war. He was employed at GM for many years. Gerald loved socializing with people and was a friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents Albert Sr. and Geraldine Tucker, brother Albert Jr. "Butch".

Gerald is survived by his sister Cynthia, brother William, close cousin Wanda Sloan, niece LaTanya (Henry Hill, Leader of Men of Faith ministry). Loyal and devoted friends include -John Parrish, Frances (Sims) Boykin, Laurita Jones, Lawrence Head, Pete and Linda Gray, Loretta Lawrance, Michael Leigh and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service 9 am Monday, September 8, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 8:30 am- 9 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
