George M. Williams

WILLIAMS, George M., age 91, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully August 22, 2018 at home. He was born April 29, 1927 in Switchback, West Virginia, was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, Virginia, and later, a resident of Dayton. He was a baptized and faithful member of Mount Pleasant Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 1968, George retired as a Sergeant from the United States Army and Navy. He was a lover of fishing and hunting and the God given gift of giving. Preceded in death by his father, Jefferson G. Williams and mother, America Henry; sister, Mary-Joyce (Henry); brothers, Paris Williams and Edward Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted nieces, Yolanda (Earl) Rutledge (caretakers), Patricia (Kenneth) Stubbs, and Barbara Walker. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Clark Chance officiating. Visitation 10 am at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
