Garland David Render

Garland David Render departed this life Saturday, October 21, 2023. He was the only child born to the late Vernice Satterfield and Benny Render, on July 20, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio.

He attended Roosevelt High School before transferring to Garfield where he earned his GED and eventually sustained long-term occupation at Lau Industries until he retired in 2004.

Early on, he embarked on his journey of fatherhood, which granted him five beautiful children with his wife, Junette Render.

Besides his parents, Garland was preceded in death by his wife, Junette; his brother, Douglas Walker; nephew, Douglas Walker Jr.

Garland leaves to cherish precious memories, his resilient children, David (Yvette), Shalanda (Lonnie), Julius (Stephanie), Cora (Luther & Arthur), Senecka (Justin); Goddaughter, Mari Campbell; his incredible grandchildren, David, Anthony, Je’Mya, Jeyannah, Jewelle, Cormari, Corey, Cherokee, Cierra, Cherice, Jue’Lisa, Derik, Darren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

Visitation 10 am- 12 pm Friday, October 27, 2023, at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Family will receive friends 11 am- 12 pm. Funeral service begins at 12 pm.
