Frances L. Jones

Frances L. Jones, age 94, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born March 14, 1927 in Newton, Georgia.

Frances was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She loved cooking and was known for baking delicious desserts for family gatherings.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Pearl Mabry; husband, Aaron Jones; sisters, Eva Hightower, Frankie Smith and Ruby Fisher; brothers, Levie Mabry, Otis Mabry, O.P. Mabry and Webster Mabry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Diane (Billy) Head, Sylvia Jones, Jeanette Jones and Angela Jones, all of Dayton, OH; stepson, Benjamin Jones of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Darren Mabry, Terry Jones, Oriel Head, Danielle Head, Jamel Head, Fatima Mitchell of Birmingham, AL and Ursula Ashton of Memphis, TN; great grandchildren, Jamir Jones, Raine Wright, Jada and Jakoby Scott; devoted niece, Elaine Smith of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; longtime friend of the family, Larry Crutcher.
