Floyd “David” Pressley Jr., born April 19, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio to Floyd and Susie Pressley, went home to be with the Lord December 18, 2020.
Everyone knew him as Floyd, but we affectionately called him David. David’s one passion was that he loved driving trucks. He was a long-distance truck driver for over 20 years. He absolutely loved getting in his truck and travelling from state to state. Sometimes stuck hundreds of miles from home but loving it just the same. David wasn’t blessed with children, but he loved his nieces and nephews. He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church. He knew the Lord, and loved God and he is now at rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Floyd and Susie Pressley; nephew, David Goldsmith. He is survived by his sisters, Theresa (Tony) Goldsmith of Trotwood, OH, Donna (Napoleon) Wilbourn; brother, Christopher (Neriza) Pressley of San Diego, CA; nieces and nephews, William “Billy” Taylor of Dayton, James Goldsmith of Dallas, TX, Tiara “Tia” Rose-Davis of Woodbridge, VA, Ray Davis Jr. of Washington, DC, Keisha (Alfonso) Paniagua of Austin, TX; aunts, Johnny Clyde Daniel of Dayton, and Bessie Harris of New Castle, IN; a host of other relatives and friends.
Walk-through visitation will be held 9-11 am Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Private Service.
