Fannie M. Anthony, age 94, was born on September 25, 1928, to Theo and Lizzie Mae Thompkins in Knoxville TN. She was a resident of Dayton, Ohio majority of her life.
She was married to Leo Anthony for 22 years and from this union came Leon Anthony, Harry T. Anthony, and Kimberly A. Anthony.
Fannie worked at the United Fireworks for many years packing firecrackers, and at Sugar Creek Packing Company.
Sister Fannie Anthony was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost at Bethesda Temple. She worked in the kitchen feeding the homeless. She was a faithful member until she was not able to come to church.
She loved the Lord and helping others. She was a very strong independent woman who lived on her own for 59 years. She instilled Godly values and the golden rule to her children.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children; sons, Leon Anthony and Rev. Harry Anthony; brother, Theo Thompkins; great-great grandson, Jonah House.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Min. Kimberly Henderson (Johnny K.); grandchildren, Antonio Anthony, Jevon Williams, Johnny and Kenneth Henderson, Peggy Kuhns (Michael); great grandchildren, Antonea Anthony, Kion Belcher, Aidan and Kieran Kuhns, Cydney Henderson; great-great grandchildren, Ava and Melody House; cousin and friend, Mrs. Anne Wilkes; special neighbor and friend, Mrs. Rhonda Williams; a host of other relatives and friends including her Bethesda Temple Church family.
Visitation 10 am-11 am Thursday, January 12, at Bethesda Temple, 3701 Salem Avenue, Dayton, OH. Funeral service at 11am. (Mask Required).
