Eva Henderson Obituary
HENDERSON, Eva Mae Gurnell, born June 26, 1926 in New Castle, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. Eva graduated from the Lincoln Institute in Simpsonville, KY.
Eva married James “Wickey” Henderson in 1946 and in 1952 she gave birth to James A. “Tony” Henderson.
She worked at McCalls for 25 years and at Delco Moraine for 13 years. She retired in 1985.
Eva loved life and liked to travel and eat in nice restaurants.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Mary Lou Gurnell; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Henderson and Ophelia Boyd; brothers, Bobby Gurnell; husband, James “Wickey” Henderson.
Eva Mae “dede” leaves to cherish her memory her son, James “Tony” (Beverly) Henderson; grandson, James Justin Henderson; great grandson, James Darion Henderson; step great grandson, Ra’Shawn Walker; a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday, January 21, 2021 at New Greencastle Cemetery, 2045 Nicholas Rd. Rev. Arvin Ridley officiating. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
