Eric Tyrone Ford, age 55, of Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, September 18, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center.
Eric Tyrone Ford was born October 1, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of the 1984 Patterson Co-Op High School graduating class.
Eric was a well-known hair stylist at Prince Ebony Hair Fashions for more than twenty years. He was a huge part of the salon’s successful operation, as it remained one of the most popular and desirable places to get your hair done in the city of Dayton. Eric stayed “booked and busy”, and with his blessed and talented hands, he maintained a clientele that is difficult to capture in numbers. Eric had a deep love for music, his family, and friends. He was heavily active in his church. Dedicating his life to Christ was a huge part of him, and his involvement in both the men’s ministry and men’s choir made him extremely proud.
Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Cilliestene Ford; father, Rev. William Stanley Ford; sister, Dione M. Ford; aunt, Ernestine Corley; uncle, Danny Cosby.
Eric leaves to mourn, his aunts, Josephine (Thomas) Graham, Margaret “Diane” Alexander, both of Dayton; uncles, Eddie (Louisa) Cosby of Detroit, MI, James Cosby of Dayton; first cousins, Thomas D. Graham, Lassonia Corley, Lamar Corley, Derrick Corley, Rasheedah Cosby, James (Ryan) Cosby, all of Dayton, Troy (Donielle) Graham of Charlotte, NC, Tonya Graham of Dallas, TX, Christine (Lynn) Durr of Detroit, MI, Chemeka Williams of Nashville, TN, Paula Criswell-Hoskins (Willie) of Kansas City, MO, CoCo Criswell, Shaniece Hoskins, and LeKeate (Clarence) Knox of Atlanta, GA; special family members, Lucille Cosby, James (Tonia) Harris, Sharon Cosby, Willa Mae Harris, Lisa Harris; special friend and mentor, Mother Pricilla Carson; best friend, Michelle Ramey; Godchildren, Ebony, Joshua, Tashia, Jillisa and Joe Benson; a host of other family and friends.
