Eddie B Hunt Sr., age 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Grandview Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio to William and Bettie Fletcher. Eddie graduated from Dunbar High School, Class of 1964, where he was an avid track runner and basketball player.
Eddie worked for the City of Dayton for over 30 years in the Street Maintenance Dept. He was always proud of competing in the Snowplow Rodeos. Eddie was a member of Push’s Temple Apostolic Faith Church, where he was known as Deacon Hunt, where he made sure the church was supplied with chips and pop. Some of the fondest memories of Eddie was listening to him tell stories about him driving with the city and dropping salt for the neighborhoods to use, reminiscing about running track or playing basketball, playing his numbers and yelling at his beloved Cleveland Browns for losing while enjoying a refreshing spirit.
Eddie was married to two wonderful, headstrong women who kept him on his toes. His ex-wife, Gloria Jean Hunt and wife Parkie Lee Hunt. Both, who preceded him in death. These unions gave Eddie five outstanding children. Gloria Jean blessed him with Stacy, Eddie Jr, and Jeffrey Hunt. Parkie blessed him with Ebony Hunt-Allen and William Hunt.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and ex-wife, a son, Eddie B. Hunt Jr, three brothers, Edward, John and Robert Fletcher and one sister, Nancy Davis. Eddie leaves to cherish his memory, four children. Stacy Hunt, Jeffrey (Latoya) Hunt, Ebony (Aaron) Allen, and William Hunt. Special friend, Marilyn Brown with a message... Dear Eddie, I have known you for 16 years. I have seen you cry, also seen you laugh, and I cannot forget the stories you would tell. I will miss you! Your friend Marilyn Brown. Siblings, Anna (Joseph) Earley, Eugene Fletcher, Mary Fletcher and Robin (Linda) Fletcher. Eddie also had 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
