Sending condolences to the Mathews family. Dr. Mathews was my first African -American role model in the field of medicine. I remember clearly the day when I befriended his daughter Carla in elementary school and she mentioned to me that her father was a doctor. At that time, I didn't know we existed. From then on, I believed that I could become one too.
Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. You and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. I know that nothing can take away the pain that you are feeling right now, but I just want you to know that your brother was an inspiration to all those he encountered and now he is at peace with GOD. I will always remember him and keep you my friend, in my prayers.

In deepest sympathy of a beloved cousin. I will miss him deeply and he was a great supporter of my family and Hyde Park Community Families Reunion. I loved him, but God loved him best. Rest in peace until we meet again in Heaven.
