Donald Lee Williams

Donald Lee Williams, age 76, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Alden Estates of Northmoor in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, May 4, 2024, of natural causes after battling for many years with heart and vascular disease and prostate cancer. He fought the good fight and finished his race well.

A loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Donald was a wonderful man of faith and loved by many, and he always had smile on his face and a joke, although sometimes corny, to share! He was a devoted husband to his wife of almost thirty years, Betty C. Williams, who preceded him in death May 19, 2021.

Brother Donald was a faithful member, usher, and servant at The Tabernacle Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio for approximately five decades. In his final days, he stayed in Chicago, Illinois with daughter, Sonia Lott, and grand-daughter, Zandrea Morrow, to be closer to family as his health began to decline more.

Donald was preceded in death again by his wife, Betty C. Williams, by his father, Harold Lee Williams, his mother, Anna Patricia Oldham, his stepmother, Ruth Williams, and his daughters, Michelle Pleasant and Angelaca Pleasant.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Sonia Lott, brother, John Brodaus, sister, Barbara Jean Oldham, and grandchildren, Tyler Blackmon, Jr., Zandrea Morrow, Empress Wright, and Emperor Wright, as well as a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral service 1 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway Street, Dayton, OH. Visitation 12 pm- 1 pm, at which time family will receive friends. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
