Dexter Lee Foster was born to Jesslyn Lee Foster Young and Alfred Young on October 6, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio. He worked for the Dayton country club and then at Mahle Behr for a number of years.
Dexter was a loving and protective father of his two kids Mylan J. Foster and Trevon D. Broomfield. He was always there to lend a helping hand and offer comfort to his kids, family, and friends. Dexter was the kind of person who never wanted to see you down, someone who always wanted to keep everyone smiling. He loved to keep in touch with family and friends and was always a phone call away to give a listening ear.
To know Dexter Foster, is to love him. Although he was a very private person, people always seemed to gravitate towards him. He loved his family and would go out his way to do anything for them. He was a hard worker, quite the comedian, a protector, and a support system for many of us. Dexter had a hard exterior but a heart of gold.
Dexter was preceded in death by his mother, Jesslyn (Jessie) Lee Foster Young. Father, Alfred I. Young, Grandfather, Clarence Foster, Uncle, Dewell Foster and Aunt, Hazel Foster.
He is survived by his children Mylan J. Foster and Trevon D. Broomfield, brother Alfred L. Young, sisters LaDonna L. Young and Anita Young Bush (U.S. Navy Retired). Nieces Sabrina D. Bush, AaDonna Johnson, Nephews Levi and Josiah Sampson. He will be sorely missed by his extended family Sharon Johnson, Asia Johnson, Avery Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Austin Johnson and Anita Johnson. Family members who will mourn the loss of Dexter include cousins Jevon Robertson, Jamal Robertson, Brian Foster, Benjamin Foster Jr. and Deshawn Hall.
