Cornelia O. Scott

Cornelia O. Scott, born March 16, 1950, to Archie Clay Scott and Martha Wallace Pope, departed this life June 8, 2022, at her residence.

She served in the United States Army and completed with an Honorable Discharge. She lived in Richmond, Indiana for a long length of time, then moved to Dayton, Ohio for several years. She then resided in Kentucky for a few years, then returning to Dayton in 2010.

She worked at Second Force Intelligence as a Security Officer for many years. She was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed fishing and just being around her family.

Cornelia “Scottie” is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Wallace Pope; father, Archie Clay Scott; sisters, Eugenia Cole, Roberta A. Scott, Vivian Walker, and Jackie Pope; brothers, Kenneth, John Wayne and Parrish Pope; dear aunt, Eliza Neilson; uncle, Hugh Wallace; cousin, Roger Bly Sr.; aunt, Wilma Bass.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Tyrant Scott of Vista, CA; brother, Fred (Sue) Scott, and sister, Thedda Pope, both of Richmond, IN; grandchildren, Cameron and Dominic Scott; devoted nieces, Diane Cole-Garrison and Lisa Vann; nieces, LaMonica Scott, Amy Smith, Shayla Walker, Kenya Pope; nephews, Trent Pope, Chris Scott, Keenan Walker; great nieces, Davia Cole, LaTisha Kelly, Frederica Vann; great-great nieces, Davionna, LaParis, Asia, Zari, and Aubrie; great-great nephew, London; special friends, Elder Teresa Bradley, Phyllis Carter, Dorotha Malone, Melody Brown; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Walk-through visitation 10 am-12 noon Monday, June 20, at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Funeral service at 12 noon. (Mask Required).
