Charlynne Turner Obituary

Charlynne was born on February 17, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, to Reverend General Lee Golding and Sister Mattie Mae Golding. She graduated from Belmont High School, Class of 1979. On July 17, 2004, she married the love of her life, Willie Frank Turner.

She accepted God early in life, being raised in a God-fearing family where her father was a pastor. She was originally a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, which her father helped establish in its early stages. Later, she became a devoted member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church, where she worshiped for more than thirty years.

Throughout her life, Charlynne had a deep love for studying God’s word. She enjoyed Bible school as a child and continued to attend Bible study as an adult. She was actively involved in various church auxiliaries and loved volunteering at the church school. She was a member of the Guild Girls, a missionary auxiliary of an earlier church, and participated in several choirs, including the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church Choir, Mamie Jackson and the Interdenominational Gospel Choir, and the Apostolic Lighthouse Church Choir.

Charlynne dedicated most of her career to Echoing Valley Residential Center. Later, she worked as a safety companion at various home health facilities and group homes, where she continued to care for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Stanley Campbell; her sister, Julia Ann Reece (Sue); her sister-in-law, Barbara Golding; her brother, David Lee Golding and nephew; Damion K. Reece.

Charlynne leaves behind cherished memories with her husband, Willie Turner; her son, Korey J. Golding (Margaret); her stepson, Willie Turner Jr.; her grandson, Jayden Golding; her brother, Reverend Michael Golding; her brother-in-law, Grady Glen Jr.; and her sisters, Kimberly Golding, Ashley Golding, and Carmen Golding-Taylor (Hampton). Special mention goes to Djnika Reece, Davida Golding-McKinney and Mikeya Golding. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one surviving aunt, Auntzie, and dear friends, Denise & Gerry Burris.
