Charlotte R. Gaulding

Charlotte Reed Gaulding, born March 10, 1945, to Marshall Sr. and Olivia Reed, transitioned peacefully May 23, 2022, at Hospice of Dayton.

Charlotte graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1966. She was a dedicated hard worker at Eskco and Wal-Mart for many years until she retired in 2020. She was an outspoken woman, who never met a stranger. She was a strong woman until the very end of her fight. She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, and hanging with her grand and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Sr. and Olivia Reed; sisters, Ada Graham, Neicey Boyd, Tommie Kidd, Ernestine Weidman, Margaret Longmire, Linda Anderson, Bettie Reed; brother, Adolpus Reed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lineal R Gaulding; devoted daughter, Annette Gaulding; loving son, Lineal D. (Zandia) Gaulding; grandchildren, Darius (Tiara) Cobbins and Darian Thornton; great-grandchildren, Kyra, De’Mari, Dalan, Ry’Leigh and Skylar Cobbins; children-in-love, Yvette and Henry McKinney, Montina Smith, Faith Morgan, Carmen Oglesby, Darren Thornton Sr., Joe Cobbins Jr., Stephanie Richardson, Edie White-Figgers, Jennifer and Timothy Morrow; devoted sisters, Elma Nora (John) Butler, Elma Lee (David) Hall, Bobby Ramey, Mary Mays and Charlene Anderson; special friends, Tess Sizemore and Dwight Anderson; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Tuesday, May 31, at Prayer Garden Church of God in Christ, 600 Shiloh Springs Rd. Visitation 11 am until time of service. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
