Carl H. Carson was born June 30, 1951, in Yazoo, Mississippi, to Felix Carson, Sr. and Tee Willie Davis. He moved to Dayton at an early age where he attended Dayton Public Schools and graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1969.
He served his country in the United States Army and during that time he married the love of his life, Kathleen Carson. Upon completing three years of military service, Carl was employed at RTA for 35 years before retiring. He lived a quiet life where he cherished both family and home. Later, he joined the United Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher.
He enjoyed watching sports and old westerns. Carl was a father figure to his many nieces, nephews and other family members as they affectionally called him, “Uncle Carl”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Felix Carson, Sr.; grandmother, Lizzie Barber “Big Mama”, sister, Maxine Miles; brother, Felix Carson, Jr.; aunts, Ruth, Sadye and Augusta Barber; uncles, Jean, Doc and L.C. Carson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen Carson; mother, Tee Willie Davis; sons, Carl Carson and LaMonte Carson; siblings, Nora Lee and Jean Giles (Michigan), Mary, Michael, Glenda and Deborah Carson (California), Minnie Pearl Jones, Dee Dee, Cynthia and Bettie Jean Carson (Michigan), Felixia Holoman (Dayton); grandchildren, Montrel Carson, DaeCarlo Carson and Zaria Carson; great grandchild, Autumn Dae Carson; special aunt and uncle, John and Emma Price; special friends, Sammie and Carolyn Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, June 14, at United Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Lexington Ave. Visitation 10 am until the time of service. (Mask Required). Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
