Bryant Magee Obituary

Bryant Fitzgerald Magee was born March 23, 1965, in Dayton, Ohio to Alvie L. Magee and Shirley McDowell Magee. He was the oldest child of the family. Bryant is a graduate of Colonel White High School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the military (Marine Corps Branch). There he continued his education. After completing his tour, he returned to the United States, and sometime later he attended Hanover Newton Seminary.

He became a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Church in Washington D.C. where Bishop Alfred Owens was the Senior Pastor. It was there that he was saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, and baptized in Jesus’ name. He later became an Assistant Pastor to Pastor Ronald Frazer at Christ Church.

Bryant loved sports, especially football, where he excelled as a linebacker. He loved to cook, and most often made his own recipes. Bryant was an avid reader. He read 5 newspapers every day. Bryant loved the best… tailored made suits and shirts, shoes and jewelry. His appetite for the finer things in life was evident by the way he presented himself.

He had an unbelievable work ethic; He was a perfectionist and was never satisfied until a job was completed. He was an early riser; he loved seeing the sunrise, and his days were long. Bryant believed that our lives are predestined, and that he was predestined to be a financier to the body of Christ. He worked with many pastors to secure financing for building projects through his Mortgage Banker Business and The Magee Group. Bryant was a visionary. He was able to acquire 12 million dollars in tax free funds to be used toward a billion-dollar Waterfront Project that he had the vision for and plans to complete.

He was loving, kind and always offered his help and support. He never met a stranger.

Bryant was preceded in death, by his father, Alvie Magee, and his grandparents on both sides.

Bryant leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Pastor Shirley Magee; children, Ariell S. Wills, Cameron F. Magee, Amber A. Magee and Stepson Ricardo Pires; sisters, Renita D. Magee and Venita E. Berry; brothers, Daniel B. Beaty and Keith Lovell Magee; grandchildren, Ivory, Aaliyah, Aiden and Ava; niece, Mariah Magee; nephews, John William Berry and Zayden Magee; extended family, Kelly, Danielle, Shelia and Patricia… Terry Hill, Terry Coleman, Brian Puller, Darren Cordell and Derrick Malone. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
