Bessie Mae Vaughn

VAUGHN, Bessie Mae, born April 27, 1932 in Hillsboro, Alabama, departed this life March 19, 2020 at the Widows Home of Dayton.

She moved to Dayton, Ohio at an early age. Bessie was a fun-loving and caring woman whose smile would light up a room. Throughout her long life she became known for her mischievous nature.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two sons.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Ruth Dawson, Mary Benson; son, Johnny Dawson; five grandchildren including two granddaughters/caretakers, Marie Dawson (Phillip Walker), Cinica Dawson; great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 11 am until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery.
