Beatrice Dolphin Obituary

Beatrice D. Dolphin, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton, after a brief illness. Beatrice was born August 13, 1939 in Oneida, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and she also attended Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas where she studied Office Administration. Beatrice then moved to Dayton, Ohio where she resided most of her life.

Bea, as she was fondly called, retired from Key Bank Corporation in Dayton. She enjoyed traveling to visit family and helping others in service at Key Bank.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elvira Coley, her sister, Ernestine Coley and her husband of 32 years, Leroy J. Dolphin Sr.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory, her three devoted sons, James Leroy Dolphin Jr. (Mary), Sean Dolphin, and Ronald Dolphin. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of brothers and sisters, Gladys B. Cousin, James Coley Jr., Susan J. Thompson, Harden W. Coley (Arden), Patricia Oldham, all of Dayton, Delores Martin of Buffalo, NY, Dorothy Parks (Alton) of Nashville, TN, and Jacqueline Lewis of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Kedrick, Ian, Sean, Allison, Bianca, Brittney, Tiffany, and Erica; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Walk-through visitation 10 am-11 am Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Private Service.
