Andre' A. Ogletree, Sr.

OGLETREE, Sr., Andre’ Alonzo, age 48, of Huber Heights, OH, passed away 10:10 pm Friday, October 30, 2020 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1972 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Luther William and Bertha L. (Doggett) Ogletree. He was a 1991 graduate of Trotwood-Madison High School and Miami Valley CTC, graduating as a certified Master Mason/brick layer. 

He was a longtime member of the Dayton Road Runners Motorcycle Club. He was a 32 degree Sublime Prince, and the Jr. Warden of David Lodge #706, Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Ogletree was an owner-operator in the trucking industry. He was the owner of Big O Trucking and Big O Construction for over 20 years. 

Andre' had the most love for everyone he met and never met a stranger. He loved racing motorcycles, and drag car racing his beloved 1972 Nova, aka "da Butcher" at Kilkare. He also built and raced slot cars, motorcycles, rc cars and airplanes. He had a passion for music and was a very talented musician. He loved to entertain family and friends with his infamous rib cook offs and annual chicken fry party. 

On December 13, 2014 he married the former Tina Wilson Mims. He was happiest surrounded by his family, friends and grandchildren, hosting get-togethers, making everyone laugh, and always having a good time. Andre's love for his Road Runner family, Mason brothers and sisters, and Kilkare racing friends was never ending. He loved a challenge and talking mess to everyone. Anyone who knew Andre', knew how much he cherished  his wife, children, and grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith W. Ogletree; sisters, Marcia C. Bass, Lenora Cooks. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina; siblings, Luther Sellers, Kim Dicks, Tosha (Erric) Bailey; sons, Andre' Jr. (Jessica) Ogletree, Spencer (Jessica) Mims, Derrick Tussey, Jonas (Samantha) Mims, Austin Howell, Andrew Ogletree, Aaron Ogletree; daughter, Hunter Mims; 13 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Pleasant Green M. B. Church, 5301 Olive Rd. Rev. Raleigh Thornton Jr. officiating. Visitation 10 am until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.

As Andre' rides his bike up above, he rides by faith, not by sight. The wind blows in his face as he thinks of God's amazing grace. The Lord will protect him as he rides and he will always be by our side.
