Amber Marie Royston

Amber Marie Royston, age 38, was born August 10, 1986, in Glendale, California. She departed this life Wednesday, February 26, 2025.  Amber was a devoted daughter, sister, cousin and a good friend to all who knew her.  She will be missed.

Amber graduated from North Highlands High School in Sacramento, CA. in 2004 where she enjoyed playing in the school band.  After graduation, she moved to Dayton and briefly attended Sinclair Community College.  She later earned her STNA (State Tested Nurse Aid) through classes at the Job and Family Services Center.  Amber worked several places as a dedicated STNA in the Dayton area.   As a caregiver, she was well loved by her clients.  She later moved to Chillicothe where she continued her career.

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Lillie Mae Shackleford and Moses E. Henry, Jr., both of Dayton; one uncle, Moses E, Shackleford of Dayton and one special aunt, Margarette Greene of North Highlands, CA. and a special step-grandmother, Patricia Henry of Dayton, OH.

Amber leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother, April M. Royston; loving father, David M. Royston of Westminster, CA.; one brother, Myles Omar-Riley Jefferson of Dayton; one niece, Malia N. Jefferson, and a host of cousins, as well as two special cousin, Jasmine Price of Las Vegas, NV. and Becky Vinzant of Dayton. She also leaves loving grandparents, Margi and David Royston of North Highlands, CA.; and one uncle, Dwight Royston of Reno, NV along with a host of great aunts and uncles.

Memorial service 11 am Monday, March 10, 2025 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Calling hour 10 am- 11 am at which time family will receive friends.
