Mrs. Alreen M. Johnson Pearl, age 93, passed away Tuesday morning, March 04, 2025 at Grace Brethren Village in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on December 14, 1931, as a native of Homer, Louisiana and was a resident in Dayton, Ohio for 83 years.
She attended Dunbar High School in 1951. Following graduation, she married and was a devoted mother to her daughters. Alreen retired from General Motors division after 30 years of service. She enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. She was a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Dayton, OH and served on the usher board.
Alreen was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Miles and Ethel Hunter; her husband, Fred Pearl; one daughter, Theresa Johnson; one brother, Doyce Miles; and one sister, Annie Boyd.
Alreen is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Johnson; grandchildren, Jamesha and Jamie Maxwell; great grandchildren, Jaria and Traci; two brothers, Roy Miles and Lewis M (Kathy) Hunter; and one sister, Brenda Rucker. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Funeral service 11 am Friday, March 14, 2025 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2067 N. Gettysburg Ave., Dayton, OH. Visitation 10 am- 11 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.
