Willie Mae Coleman, 87, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Spring Hills Singing Woods. She was born August 30, 1932 in Benwood, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Hardy Parks, Sr. and Ada Simpson Parks. Willie Mae worked for Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 46 years as a Transportation Specialist, retiring in 1993 to take care of her ailing husband. She was also a member of Phillips Temple Church. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and great aunt.
In addition to her parents, Willie Mae is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Coleman; two brothers, Hardy and Nathaniel Jacob Parks; three sisters, Alberta Parks Reed, Leona Poole and Myrtle Parks; and a niece, Jacquelyn Gordon.
Surviving is her loving and devoted daughter, Carla Jones (Arvin); two grandsons, Alan Jones (Amaris) and Jason Jones, who she adored; and her niece, Sandra Donaldson and nephew, Victor Bailey (Mamie).
Celebration will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Phillips Temple Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Road. Pastor Ervin Winston Sr., eulogist. Visitation 9:00 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
