Virginia B. Harris

HARRIS, Virginia B., age 76, of Dayton, born June 1, 1942 in LaGrange, GA, received her wings August 9, 2018. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. An educator in Dekalb County School System where she touched and molded many lives. She was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Tillman Blackman; husband, Senior Chief Larry T. Harris; son, Lawrence T. Harris. She leaves to celebrate her life, mother, Josephine Blackman; son, Curtis T. (Christa) Harris; daughter-in-law, Virginia Branham Harris; three grandchildren, one great grandson; a host of sweet relatives and friends. Funeral service 10 am Friday, August 17, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to:  American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Dayton.
