Veronica R. Chancellor-Woodard

Veronica R. Chancellor-Woodard, affectionately known as “Miss V”, born July 22, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, departed this life and got her wings, after a lengthy illness, April 15, 2019 at Burlington House facility of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a resident of Dayton the majority of her life where she attended Belmont and Patterson Co-op High Schools. She was a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio for 17 years where she resided in her final years of life.

Veronica enjoyed her career being a cosmetologist most of her life, receiving her license upon graduation, and working along side her mother and sister in shops owned by her mother Corine.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Corine Chancellor; beloved husband, Derrick Woodard; three children.

To cherish her memory she leaves her only maternal sister, Larcinda, affectionately known as “Blowdy”, sister, Sylkena (Randall); brothers, Jeffery Cole, Previn, Delorean (Shana), Kam; devoted niece, Ciara Anderson, niece, LaShaya (Demiko); nephew, Harrison; great niece, Monteya; great nephews, Ciaun and Shawn III; special cousins, Angee Bass and William Crusoe; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Minister Fred Conner officiating. Visitation 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
