Silas Brandon Nevins “Boobie”, age 34, born March 24, 1985 in Dayton, Ohio, was called home Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Boobie frequently attended Greater Love Baptist Church. He went to Belmont High School where he developed his love for football, wrestling and boxing. He became a “self-made” entrepreneur because of the love he had for cars, homes, and his family which was his first priority. He was well-known by family and friends for his beautiful smile, fashion swagger, and prank jokes which will be truly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bobby Barnett; grandmother, Mary C. Barnett; brother, DeAngelo “Porky” Nevins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his biological father, Robert Stargell; mother, Vonda K. Barnett; father, Silas Nevins; children, Donta’ne, Da’miya and Ta’ziyah; siblings, Jhaquanna (Brian),Tenisha (Joshua Elaine), DeMarco Nevins (DeAngela Mar’Kai), Christopher, Darnell, Robert and Devon; grandmothers, Gaynelle Hatcher, Mamie Nevins; great grandmother, Judith Hatcher; aunts, Renee (Willie) Moore, Wanda Joyce; uncles, Bobby and Lamar Barnett, Bobby (Chicago), Curtis, Stanley and Warren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, friends, and special friend, Tiffany McGraw; special uncle, Willie Nevins.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday, June 14, 2019 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am at which time family will receive friends. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery.
