Shelldail Howard

Shelldail Howard, 59, passed away April 2, 2019 at her home in Dayton, of natural causes. Ms. Howard was born August 6, 1959 in LaGrange, Georgia to Ruby K. Glenn and Simmie Robinson. Her family moved to Dayton, Ohio when she was 5 years old.

She attended Fairview High School and her favorite subject was English, and her favorite team was the Cowboys. She received her GED in 1993. She loved to travel and visit new places. You could always catch her singing and dancing. She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with her grandkids. She is known for her cooking and her best dish was her collard greens, cornbread and fried chicken. Her family paid this tribute to her, ‘Shelldail was a very warm-hearted woman. She opened her heart and her home to many children in the family over the years, raising them as her own and she will be sorely missed’.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gary. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy, Janice, Cynthia; children, Shellay, Sharonda, Sherwood, Cherell, Shania; grandchildren, Jada, MacKenzie, Safiya, Brent’niya, Lajuan Jr, Alexus, Diamond, Milli’on, Shervonna, Sherwood Jr, Bella, Cheriyah, Correy, Correyon, Shane and Jon’niece; many other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, April 12, 2019 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 10 am-1 pm. Family will receive friends 12-1 pm. Family gathering will be at College Hill Church.
