Patricia Ann Gregory

Patricia was born in Pensacola, Florida to the late Cecilia Cassidy June 26, 1947. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, the Rev. Jessie and Estelle Louman and joined Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where she continued to serve until relocating. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1964. In Pensacola, Patricia met and fell in love with Airman Holbert K. Gregory. They were married in 1969 in Dayton, Ohio where they raised three daughters. Patricia retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital with over 30 years of service. She was dedicated and compassionate in her role as an ICU unit clerk. She loved to read, shop, and was known for her delicious potato salad.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Our Mother was beautiful inside and out. She was the true Matriarch of our family. She was truly dedicated and loved her family and friends unconditionally. She taught her daughter’s grace, compassion and strength. She was a lady to the end. Mommy was loved and respected by all the lives she touched, young and old. We were so blessed to have held her hands and kissed her face through her last days of illness. Although we will miss her every day, we take comfort in knowing she will be in heaven watching over us. We rejoice in knowing that her mind and body are healed and she will be reunited with our father.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, and husband. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Lisa, Cassandra (Larry Flowers), and Staci; grandchildren, Will and Anais Morrow, Amani and Aaron Tillman, Julian Flowers, and Laiah Robinson; beloved siblings, Doris Miller and Elaine Henderson, and James (Ella) Cassidy from Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law,  Betty (McCharles) Bryant, Cincinnati, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; special friends, Patricia Harris, Judy Washington, Sammy and Evelyn Shoemaker, Buddy Walton, Brice Sims, and John Henry.  

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Monday, December 17, 2018 at The Inspiration Church, 2900 Philadelphia Dr. Pastor Cory Cunningham officiating. Visitation 10 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
