Nimatu Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Nimatu Forna, born November 18, 1972 in Freetown Sierra Leone, West Africa, departed this life November 5, 2018.

Nima graduated from St. Joseph Covenant in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She attended Thames College in London, England and attended college in Atlanta, Georgia. It was in Atlanta where she met and married Michael Anderson whom she would affectionately refer to as; the man of her dreams.

She was employed by Signet Jewelers where she was promoted through the ranks to Branch Manager. Nima excelled and received numerous awards for her outstanding job performance. Dedicated and determined she continued to work diligently until her health no longer permitted her to do so.

Nima had a zest for life and seized every opportunity to travel and explore new cultures, customs, and cuisines. Anxious to share her experiences, she had a way of making you feel as though you were right there with her.

A God-fearing woman, she accepted Christ at an early age. She could often be heard singing songs of praise. She spoke fondly of her new church home, Eastern Star, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Throughout her illness, her faith never wavered.

Preceded in death by her mother, Sally Bangura; father, Sembu Forna; brother, Sembu Forna.
