Mildred Louise Sims

SIMS, Mildred Louise, age 84, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away January 4, 2018. She was born February 13, 1933 in Rhea Springs, TN to the late Gary Ridley and Vivian Hickey. She retired from the Veterans Administration after 27 years of service. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. A beloved mother and grandmother who is survived by her daughters, Vanessa (Michael) Gales of Atlanta, GA, Althea Lewis of Boise, ID, and Barbara Chestnut; sons, James A. Chestnut Jr., Charles Chestnut, and Billy (Barbara) Chestnut of Greeley, CO; brothers, Curtis and Wallace Hickey; sister, Geraldine Calhoun; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, one aunt, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation 4-7 pm Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Family will receive friends 5-7 pm. Funeral service 11 am Friday, January 12, 2018 at Mt. Pisgah M. B. Church, 1 Diamond Ave. Visitation 9-11 am. Interment Willow View Cemetery.
