Menelik Murad Shakir, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 2, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Sabreen Shakir and Lewis Thompson; children, Jade Shakir, Dasia Neal, Orlando Paschal “Lumas”, Menelik M. Sizemore “Linky”; sisters, Robin Shipp, Fadeelah Holt and Sana Shakir-Thiaw; nieces, Robin Robinson, Shayna Byrd, Alyse Johnson and Maimouna Thiaw; nephews, Donald Adkins III and Maurice Robinson Jr.; grandchildren, Skye Talbert, Davion Neal, Alayah Neal and Airrea Smothers; a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held 11 am Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am Thursday at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
