Mary Lois (Hopkins) Russell

RUSSELL, Mary Lois Hopkins, age 73, born May 22, 1944 in Coleman, TX to the late J. P. and Mollie Hopkins, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017. She was a resident of Dayton the majority of her life and graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1961. Mary was an avid reader, kind hearted, good listener, and willing to help anyone she could. Preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. Russell, Sr.; daughter, Patricia Russell. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Frances McGinnis; brother, Johnnie Hopkins; daughters, Renee, Tina; sons, Anthony, Willie Jr., Dustin, Nathaniel, Daniel, Johnnie; 30 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, July 28, 2017 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Minister Raleigh Thornton, Jr. officiating. Visitation 9 am-12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am-12 pm. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
