Mamie Lee Nevins

Mamie Nevins, born May 4, 1935 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Elroy and Mary Bell Wilson, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her loving spirit husband, Silas Nevins Sr. and siblings, Elroy Wilson Jr., James Wilson and Jimmy Wilson; grandsons, Mycheal, Deanglo and Brandon.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving children, Curtis “rabbit”, Stanley “squirrel”, Silas Jr., “buddy G”, Wanda “niecy” and Warren “bud”;  sisters, Mary Alice Ball of Michigan, Velma Wilson of Texas and Carol Ruffin of Alabama; sister-in-law, Velma Sanders of Cincinnati, OH; brothers-in-law, Willie J. Nevins (Shirley), Sylvester Nevins (Marcia), all of Dayton; Mamie was blessed with 18 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephews and friends. 

Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, December 6, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Visitation 9 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice.
