LeRoy Clay, Jr.

CLAY, Jr., LeRoy, born August 31, 1946 in Dayton, made his transition Saturday, July 22, 2017.  He was a 1964 graduate of Roosevelt H.S. and earned a B.A. degree from Central State Univ. He was a proud veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired from D.E.S.C and Meijer Dstr. Ctn. He was a loyal and devoted Cleveland Browns fan and had a love and passion for animals. He enjoyed watching and playing sports also socializing with family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, LeRoy Clay Sr. & Rachel Clay Revere (Robinson); former wife, Rona Clay. Left to cherish his memories are loving family: daughters, Karla Clay-Alexander (Dr.Sylvester), Rashon Salyer, and Rashell Clay; sister, Deborah L. Reid (Tyrone); brothers, Kim (Vanessa) Clay of Louisville, KY and Kevin Clay; stepmother, Rosa Clay and former wife, E. Yvonne Clay; five grandchildren, one great grandson, an aunt, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am-12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am-12 pm. Interment 10 am Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Dayton National Cemetery.
