WILKES, Sr., Jimmy Ray was born August 12, 1948, in Randolph County, Alabama, the youngest child of Genoa and Catherine Wilkes, went home to join God, Betty and the rest of his family on May 11, 2018. After a long and productive 69 years of diligent leadership, God released Jimmy from his earthly cares and took him to a well deserve season of rest. Jimmy was a proud graduate of Wadley High School, Class of 1968. He relocated to Dayton, OH following graduation where he met the love of his life, Betty Miliner. On June 27, 1970 Jimmy and Betty (God called her home in 2007) were united in marriage and blessed with three wonderful children. Jimmy was a hardworking millwright for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a proud servant of God for the Church of Love in West Liberty, OH where he assisted his Pastor Milton Mobley with bible study and several services. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Rejeana (Jamar) of Dayton, Jimmy (Tiffaney) of Franklin, GA, Kenneth (Danita) of Bellbrook; grandchildren, Jamar Jr., JaDore & JaQuan, all of Dayton; siblings, Adolpus & Patricia of Wadley, AL; special friend, Betty Mack of Trotwood (who stayed by his side until he was called home); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 8:30 until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
