Jeffrey Vance, Sr. Obituary

Jeffrey “Jack” Vance was born August 20, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the union of the late Thomas and Lucille Vance. Jack was the devoted husband of Debra Vance and they shared 41 years of marriage.

Jack accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Enon Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully for many years.

Jack was a 1974 graduate of Stivers High School. Upon graduation from high school, Jack obtained many certifications and worked various places in the Dayton area. Upon retiring from Time Warner Cable in 2001, Jack devoted the remainder of his days to caring for those he loved.

Jack is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Vance; mother, Lucille Vance and brother, Edward Vance.

On July 9, 2019 Jack took his last breath and completed his earthly mission. While on this journey he enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered for his infectious laugh and his title as Grill Master.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was an extraordinary protector and provider and a strong teacher who taught his family the value of sticking together. His love for his wife could only be matched by his love for his children and grandchildren. He was a man of faith and believed that God could do all things and fix all things.
