Irene McKitric

MCKITRIC, Irene Elder "GRANNY", age 76, born October 21, 1943 in Pontiac, Michigan, passed away Sunday morning, December 15, 2019 at Beavercreek Health and Rehab Center. She moved to Dayton, Ohio at an early age, and was a resident for 75 years. Irene graduated from Roosevelt High School. 

She truly enjoyed cooking, shopping, sewing, bowling and playing cards, and loved dancing the night away. She was always about family and spending time with family.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Renora Bell; husband, Joseph William Earl McKitric; sister, Carolyn Evans.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Carla (Steven) Harden, Lanita Elder, Tara (Joseph) Elder-Benson, Tausha Elder; son-in-law, Stephen L. Benson Jr., all of Dayton; brother, Charles E. (Deena) Bell of Elk Grove, CA; sisters, Susie B. (John) Kincaid of Waterloo, IA, Saundra B. Brown, Renora D. (Willie) Searcy of Dayton; grandchildren, Candice "Can-Can" Elder, Devon "Man-Man" (Jordan) Elder, Shannon Thomas, Tarnesea “Poo-Poo” , DeMore'A "Lil Man-Man" and DeVon'Ye "Pooter" Benson, Capree Brooks; six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 am Monday, December 23, 2019 at Rockhill Baptist Church, 1404 S. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 10 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
