Ida "Fay" Stephen

STEPHEN (Burns), Ida “Fay”, 89, of Dayton, born September 9, 1928 in Norphlet, AR, third of five siblings, to Andrew and Pearl (Morris) Burns, peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home February 17, 2018 with her children by her side. Fay retired from Montgomery County Adult Protective Services. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, prior to her illness. Preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Stephen. She leaves three children: Veronica, Candace and Jeremy, Sr.; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; aunts, Gladys Borden and Gertrude Mathies, Detroit, MI; devoted caregivers: daughter-in-law, Andrea, and nieces, Lois Kilgore, Nyisha Stanton; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Mt. Carmel M. B. Church, 5370 Dayton-Liberty Rd. Visitation 10 am-1 pm. Family will receive friends 12-1 pm. Entombment West Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
