Herbert Alvin Owens

OWENS, Herbert Alvin “Herb”, age 76, a native of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, following a brief illness. He was a 1959 graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and a retiree from GM/Inland Division. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Hortense Owens; one grandson and three siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Owens; one stepson, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters, and numerous other relatives and friends. Service will be held 1 pm Friday, May 5, 2017 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 10 am Friday at the funeral home until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
