GLADYS MARIE MOON was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 26, 1939 to Curley Moon, Sr. and Claudia (Pate) Moon. Gladys was a long time employee of University of Dayton and was the most amazing cook. She loved her family dearly, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. (We will always feel her presence and forever grateful to the many caregivers who have touched her life throughout her illness.) Along with her parents, she is predeceased by siblings, Mary Furlow (Big Shot), Barbara Woodard, Alice Perdue, Herman Moon and Curly Moon, Jr.; grandson, Joseph Hunter, nephews, Derek Woodard and Myron Moon; nieces, Darlene Woodard and Diane Perdue. Survivors include, uncle, Ed Pate; sister, Gloria Moon; children, Rodney Moon (Denise), Arvay Moon, Anthony Hunter, Sr., Darryl Hunter, Sr. (Jennifer), Kim Moon and Andrea Moon; a host of cousins, nieces nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9 am to 11 am; family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment West Memory Gardens.
