Eleanore Herring

HERRING, Eleanore, age 92, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 16, 2018. She was born September 7, 1926 to the late William and Mollie Rix. Eleanore was a vocalist and musician along with her husband, Raymond. She was a longtime member of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church where she sang in the choir and also dedicated many holidays to singing at local nursing homes and hospitals. She brought faith and happiness into the lives of many through her voice.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Herring; brothers, Wilbert, Oscar and Robert Rix.

She leaves to cherish her memories; best friends/sisters-in-law, Patricia Armstrong and Corene Herring; nephew, Theron Rix of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a very special nephew, Gary Armstrong.

Memorial service 11 am Monday, November 26, 2018 at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Rd. Calling hour 10 am at which time family will receive friends. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
