Darryle C. Jackson, Sr., age 69, a native of Dayton, passed away Tuesday. He was a graduate of Patterson Co-op High School, Class of 1967. He retired from General Motors. Preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Battle; grandparents, Alma and Milton Jackson Sr.; aunt, Yvonne and uncle, Milton Jr. He cherished the loving memory of Lillian Lois Jackson, his wife and mother of his three sons. He will be sadly missed by his devoted sons and partners, Darren “Chris”, Darryle Jr. “Mac” and DeVaughn “Craig”; grandchildren, whom he adored and was very proud of: granddaughters, Cyndi, Kimika, Janay, Courtni; grandsons, Cameron, Christopher “CJ”, Darryle III “Tres”, Corey and adopted grandson, Christian; aunts, Naomi (George) Penn, Jean (George) Anderson, Janet (Bruce) Jordan and Reaner Jackson; uncle, Jimmy Jackson (Joyce); a host of very special cousins too numerous to name. The Darryle Jackson legacy will continue forever because of these special ladies, Kim, Val, Tammie and Toyal, and continuous support from LaTonya. He will be sorely missed by his devoted friend, partner and soul mate, Idotha Bootsie Neal; adopted daughter, Erica; sister-in-law, Kim; nieces, Kayla, Shayla, and goddaughter, Bailey, Jada, Jasmine and Daniel. Service will be held 11 am Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church, 1505 W. Third St. Pastor Cory J. Pruitt officiating. Visitation 9 am until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
