Christina A. Wilkinson

WILKINSON, Christina Ann, 70, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord December 25, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital. Christina was born May 16, 1949 to the late Cortez T. Lewis and Florence M. Lewis. She attended Jefferson High School and was a member of Summit Christian Church, attending until her illness. Christina retired from Ohio Bell after 20 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, skating, dancing, playing cards, horse races, and the Kentucky Derby. Christina married the late Don R. Saunders, and from that union three sons were born, Don, Kenneth and Robert.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and four brothers.

Christina leaves to cherish her precious memories and celebrate her life, her three loving sons; sisters, Lorraine Patton, Cathy Lewis, and Margaret James; brothers, Rodney K. Lewis, and Charles Martin Sr.; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; devoted grandson, Robert Lewis Saunders, Jr.; devoted niece, Florence “Lisa” Morgan; longtime friend, James Copher; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Summit Christian Church, 4021 Denlinger Rd. Rev. Shelby Walker officiating. Visitation 9 am at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Gardens.
