Darryl Leonard Lightfoot

Darryl Leonard Lightfoot, age 70, was born April 20, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio where he was a lifelong resident. Darryl departed this life Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Darryl graduated from Colonel White High School, class of 1971 where he played varsity football and was on the wrestling team. Darryl was recognized as a champion in both sports but attended Miami University on an academic scholarship. Darryl was kind and supportive to all who knew him. He lived a quiet life alone and was a disciplined man of very few words.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth Lightfoot of Dayton View; his nephew, Sherman Lightfoot Jr.; and sister-in-law, Joyce Berry Lightfoot.

Darryl leaves behind his older brother, Sherman Lightfoot (Gaybaril) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his younger brother, Jeffery Lightfoot of Columbus, OH; aunt, Kathleen Patton of Dayton, OH; two nieces, Linda and Simone; three nephews, Sean, Jeffery Guy, Quashar, and a host of cousins and good friends.

Darryl is dearly loved and will be missed always and forever!

Memorial service 11am Saturday, April 20, 2024 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, 2107 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Calling hour 10 am at which time family will receive friends.
