McGHEE, Sr., Obie W., “Big O” aka “Pain Killer”, age 86, born July 3, 1931, peacefully passed away July 31, 2017. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Neda; parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Michele McGhee of Dayton, Brenda (Duane) DuBose of Sylacauga, AL; son, Obie (Jamie) McGhee, Jr., of Dayton; sister, Celeste McGhee of Romula, MI; brother, Samuel (Debra) McGhee of Sylacauga, AL; sisters-in-law, Jimmie McBeth of Dayton, Carolyn McGhee of Florida; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Corinthian Baptist Church, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd. Rev. Dr. P. E. Henderson, Jr. officiating. Visitation 10:30 am-1:30 pm. Family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 pm. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
