Morris E. Snodgrass

SNODGRASS, Morris E., 94, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 70 years. He served in the U. S. Army, WWII and retired from Wright-Patterson AFB after 39 ½ years. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Grace Snodgrass; brothers, John, Ellis and Earl Snodgrass; daughter, Lisa Ann Smith. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cecile L. (Martin) Snodgrass; daughters, Dr. Lori L. Woodson, Dr. V. Martina (LaMonte Sr.) Westmoreland; son-in-law, Thomas G. Smith; sisters, Myra “Pinky” Scott, Mabel Annette Delaney; grandchildren, Lindsay T. Woodson, Thomas (Nicole), Jeremy and Alexander Smith, LaMonte Jr. (Lorie) and Brian Westmoreland; great grandchildren, Ryann E. and Raegan Ann Smith, LaMonte Westmoreland, III; brother-in-law, Render (Linda) Martin; sisters-in-law, Ann R. Cross, Marjorie and Wanda Martin, Mary Alice (Arthur) Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 am Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am. Interment 10:30 am Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave.
